Riverton Vet Clinic was established in 1986 in Riverton. Its original location was in a strip mall which was eventually razed and and has gone through two moves. The first move occurred in 1989, from its original where the current Alberston's is located to 12619 S. Redwood Road. The clinic remained at that address in a remodelled historical building for 12 years.

The second and final move came in 2001 to our current address of 2789 W. 12600 South.

The current clinic is staffed by 1 full-time and one part-time veterinarians.

Dr. Besendorfer, the founder, works full time. Dr. Heward is there one or two days a week.
